I wanted a rugged truck that could take me anywhere I needed to go when rock hunting. Sometimes I even carry a small polisher in the back, to see just how cool my find is.
When I take my Isuzu out into the back country–I never get stuck. The four wheel drive is all I need to keep me pulling up and down those long hills. I didn’t think Isuzu trucks were this hardy, actually. My friends wanted me to look at the Dodge Ram’s, but when I did, the gas costs were just too high–I mean I go for MILES when I am hunting for decent geodes.
The first time I took my Isuzu Australia out into the desert, I found an old dry riverbed. I plowed through it, and the sand started to sink my back tires. As soon as I kicked in the four-wheel-drive, though she just crawled right out.
Isuzu trucks have proven their worth to me. I would never buy another brand. If it weren’t for my Isuzu I wouldn’t have nearly the collection, or the money I made off this great ability to travel deep into the desert and ride up rocky riverbeds in search of the geodes that my livelihood depends on.
When I got married, we got ourselves a campershell for the back. Now I take not only my trusty little rock polisher, I also take my woman with me. Life is good in the outback. Try an Isuzu next time you want to match great gas mileage with rugged, dependable performance. There is no greater satisfaction than feeling safe and sound even when you are hundreds of miles from home, and deep in the rock-scattered mountainous countryside. I will never own any other truck. Now, even my wife wants one of her own (sigh, more rock hunting).
